Muffin Top

I'm having the hardest time getting rid of the pooch post 2nd baby. What are y'all doing to get rid of it? Almost make me look like preggo :(

  • For me, I finally lost all the baby weight, plus more, after I finally joined WW and did C25K.  I lost everything in the tummy area!  I didn't do this till Ethan was about 15 months old, should have started much earlier.  Just hoping this will work again after #3...

  • WW and the Shred did it for me. I've always had a belly, but I noticed that my gut got sucked in more by doing the ab work on that Shred video. It really worked.

When I started WW, I was walking on the treadmill 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week. And walking was brisk walking (above 3.5 mph). I would do intervals of 3 minutes fast, 3 minutes slow and that burned the fat off like you wouldn't believe. I lost a total of 30 lbs.

  • Weight Watchers and Running/Walking seems to be a good combo. Thanks ladies. Will try that.

I am extremely challenged with finding time to workout with two kids. With William, I used to be able to shred at 730p. Now, it's a miracle if I can get both kids to bed by 8p.

I'll try to resort to lunch work outs. Hate using the shower at work though!

  • I can't speak for the second time around....I'm nervous myself. Running, eating clean, and patience has gotten my belly pretty flat again after DD. Aside from that, I don't do any ab work, but my SIL swears my pilates. She looks great after 3 c-sections.

My hat off to you. I don;t know how moms of 2+ do it.

  • OMG, mine is awful.  I'm one of those poor souls that holds on to the last 10 lbs until I finish BF.  Then after I weaned Gavin, the weight came right off.  Well, my endo increased my thyroid meds to help it along :-)  But that saggy tummy lingered long after the weight was gone.  It finally toned up again but it took a long time.  Of course, I never did much to speed that up.  I'm not a fan of exercise.  Hate it really.  But I think I'm going to have to figure something out... this is just gross.

  •  Seriously my Spanx are my best friend. I am 10 lbs lighter than before I got pregnant with Jackson and the dang front of my stomach is just not looking like it did in my 20's. The thing that did help a ton was cutting out soda/sugar. I noticed I finally lost weight in my belly when I did this.

Not sure what you do or how flexible your work is, but could you work through lunch and work out before you go home?  When I was good (pre-kids) and went to the gym at work I'd go at the end of the day.  That way I didn't have to worry about showering!

  • not sure if you had a c-section, but for me being that #2 was a c-section has made mine so much worse.  Also, I didn't realize that doing certain ab muscles can make it worse.  I swear once we put the addition on our house, next big purchase is a tummy tuck for  me.
  • I don't have much in terms of suggestions, but wanted you to know that you are not alone, I'm right there with you! I know I need to do something but I too struggle with finding any time.  I know for me lack of sleep and stress does not help with the weight loss.  I got some kinect workout games for XMas and they are still in the wrapper.  I do try to remind myself that I didn't get back to my pre-preg weight until around 16-18 mos after having baby #1. You'll have to let me know how you like ww if you try it.
