I won four tickets to Elmo Live in a Silent Auction. DH can't go, so it's just me & DD, plus two extra tickets.
I asked her if she wanted to take a friend, thinking said friend & their mommy could join us.
DD immediately responded with "Henry come?"
Henry is currently her favorite friend.
The problem? I don't care to hang out with Henry's mom. She's not a bad person or anything, just tends to be rude & inconsiderate of others and has hurt my feelings one too many times thru the years (we've been acquaintances thru mutual friends for years).
I thought about taking family, but only have two extra tickets, meaning whoever's left out will have their feelings hurt.

I voted "take another friend" - but I like this better

Baby Sister is coming soon!
Honestly, that sounds like torture. It's hard enough to go anywhere with one 2 year old, nevermind two of them.
I'd also be wary of letting my child go to an event like this where the adults were outnumbered by the children, and even less comfortable if the parent taking my child somewhere was accompanied by someone I didn't know.
It's a month away, chances are that she'll have forgotten she asked to take Henry. Just take whoever you want to take.

At her age, she's more likely to be involved in watching the show than paying attention to her friend. DH and I took DS to see Playhouse Disney last year when he was the same age as your DD. Two of his friends and their parents went with us. He barely noticed them, he was so awestruck by the stage.
Take someone you get along with. Your DD will end up being fine with it.
