We had a lot of kids around DD's age at her first birthday...and a few that were a little older so I changed a couple of things depending on their age. Everyone got stickers, bubbles and some kind of toy type thing (girls got sunglasses and boys got these little army guys), then the toddlers got graduate cereal bars and the older kids got m&ms. I think there was more but I can't remember..DD would be happy with just stickers and bubbles so I wouldn't drive yourself crazy over it.
I made some rice krispie treats, bubbles, a silly straw and some homemade chex mix. We had kids from 1-5.

My favorite money saving tip: I've earned more than $300 in gift cards (Amazon, Starbucks, Southwest!) using SwagBucks for internet searching - and you can too!
It's FREE and EASY!
Balls, bubbles, Hot Wheels or cars a little larger, Crayons, some fun little snack.
I don't have a girl, nor does anyone else, so we always buy for boys. I don't know what you would get girls. Maybe some kind of small doll or stuffed animal.
playdoh & goldfish were what we did this year. We didn't do any last year. A friend of mine went to the dollar store and got sand pail & shovel sets and gave those as the favor.
