Also looking for a good deep tissue massage. I hesitate to go to a place like Massage Envy unless you all say they do a fantastic job. I have a pinched nerve and my doctor thinks a dtm will do the trick. I'm desperate and will try anything, so wheres the best place to go?

I'm just finishing up a week of sessions with my awesome new chiropractor. he does ems, which feels just like a deep tissue massage without the painful pressure. then he does a massage and finally my alignment. i cannot tell you how much better i feel, it amazes me how much of a difference it has made.
i think ems stands for electro magnetic stimulation. it completely loosens my muscles up with little pulses and is so,so,so relaxing.
I'm not saying they're not good, I just don't know. Ive never had a massage in Atlanta. I see them everywhere, but wondered if a chain just hires anyone or if they are really good.
I ended up booking with a sports massage place. I go tomorrow and it cant come soon enough.
I go to a woman who has her own massage practice in East Cobb/Roswell. She is AWESOME. Great massage and she's a nice person.
I don't know if she would like her name and number splashed on the internet. She wants more clients but as a sole female practitioner, she mostly takes new clients on referral so she doesn't get some creepy weirdo walking in. Email me at jandayatl at yahoo dot com and I can send you her number and tell her I sent you!
DMoney will be a kickass big sister
