both are doing bunny mini shoots. kacy is more expensive by almost double but is closer and I love the stuff she does for you ladies. I CANT DECIDE!!! help!!

Who is doing the photos for Treehouse Kids? If you don't know much about them, I'd go with Kacy.

And this is just me, but something in me trusts someone like Kacy with the bunnies more than some random photographer in a store or studio. I took Justin to have his pictures taken with live bunnies 2 years ago at a studio, and I felt so sorry for the poor bunnies. I just couldn't contribute to that again.

I don't have experience with treehouse kids, but if you will need your pictures quickly, you might want to consider using them. Kacy is awesome to work with and does amazing work, but she often takes a while to get your pics to you. Just a thought.

I've had recent negative experiences with Kacy (to the extent that I won't use her again for future photo sessions), so I wouldn't recommend her. But, that's just my opinion, for whatever it's worth.

I don't know Kacy from Adam, but a little birdie might have mentioned that she is less than professional in her dealings. Just saying...

Great! I signed up for the mini session. I'm not interested in having pics with the bunnies, she said she also has a non-Easter set, so I was just going for a cheap/quick photo session to get some professional pics of M. Now I'm worried!

Meh, it should be okay. Just don't expect a quick turnaround on your CD. From what I've heard, it could be weeks/months.

I will jump in to defend her. She went through a really rough patch this fall/winter but I honestly think she has her act together now. She did some many session for Valentine's Day and she had those photos done right away, so I believe the same will be true for the Easter ones.

She has made some changes to how she does business and isn't taking on as much work as she was before, so things should go smoother with her from now on.

Emily - don't be too worried. I also had some issues with her in the fall, but had already booked her for February and had great turnaround the second time. I don't know if we will end up using her again because we were so disappointed the first time around, but didn't want to go back on our word to hire her in February. I believe she said that turnaround for these sessions would be 2 weeks - hopefully you won't have any issues! She does great pictures

treehouse kids is teaming up with an animal rescue to get bunnies for the shots and a portion of the cost is going to support the rescue so it is a good cause.

so i think i will stay with treehouse for the mini session and perhaps use kacy for the kids birthdays come sept. thanks!

This. We already have ours booked with treehouse for the bunny shots. I like that they are using a rescue and not just random animals from who knows where.

We did kacy s mini shoots for Christmas and valentines day, and both times had our cd and pictures within 2 weeks. We've had very good experiences with her!

i think everyone knows where i stand with Kacy. I've been very pleased with the photos she took but her professionalism and client service leaves MUCH to be desired. The way i understand it, things are better time wise with her but i'm pretty much scarred by my experience. i was one of the unfortunate ones who was left waiting months for my images, all 3 times I used her. No compensation and getting an apology is like pulling teeth. All the referrals i sent her way, apparently she didn't appreciate all and actually blamed being backed up because me and others referred too much. Personal life and business are often mixed and she tends to disclose information about other clients lives (none that i know personally). Also, as far as i know, she did have her valentines mini shoots ready asap but she put those before clients waiting on *christmas* photos, and that seemed very unfair. i know this wasn't really the topic of the original post but i needed to share. I am glad to hear others are having better experiences with her though.

We already booked for the bunny session with Treehouse as well. The ONLY reason I did it was because of the involvement with the bunny rescue. The rescue will be there the whole time, and make sure the bunnies are well treated. She also said she does horse photos with a horse rescue in the summer. They were very reasonably priced for a mini session. It will be fun for DD, if nothing else.

I heard some of the complaints about the other photographer, and it was enough to make me avoid her completely.
