Question for prior BF'ers/EP'ers....

Who didn't get their periods until weanng... How long did it take for aunt Flo to return? It's been 6 1/2 weeks for me so I'm just curious if that is the norm. TIA

    I got AF about 2 weeks after I started to wean.  I went from pumping 3 times a day and nursing 3 times a day, to pumping twice and nursing twice.  That was enough to bring on AF.

    It took a couple of months after stopping BFing for it to return for me. Then it was sporadic for awhile.

    We weaned over Christmas, and I haven't seen anything yet...thought I might have been gearing up to start, but it never amounted to much, so I'm thinking it may be a little weird for a while!

    We haven't weaned yet.  AF returned after 20 months.  On my birthday.  Nice.

    With my first child I went to nursing morning/night only at a year and had AF less then a month later.  With my 2nd child I started nursing morning/night only at a year.  He was weanted by 14mo and I had my first AF close to a month later.

    I have spotted on and off since about 8 weeks.  I spotted maybe 3 times the first year.  When I stopped pumping at work, I got what I thought was a full cylce, except it only last 24 hours.  Now I have Mirena...I spotted when I first got it, but nothing now.

    not me. I got mine back at 8m pp and we weaned completely at 14m...

    I primarily pumped except for one morning nursing session. I think it came back about 2 months after I quit altogether (pumping and nursing).

    We have been down to only nursing twice a day for almost 2 months and then I just got AF last week! It was a big surprise.

    Oh and I posted a similar question a couple months ago and I was shocked to see that some mommas didn't get their period for months and months after weaning. I guess there's really no way to tell.
