Why does it seem like the Braxton Hicks are exponentially more frequent at night...and that I have painful contractions only at night? I've basically just embraced a concept of napping this week. I figure it will be that way for quite a while when LO comes so I guess it's not all bad. But gosh, this is painfully sucky
Re: More Braxton Hicks at night?
I don't know why, but I think the majority of people go into labor over night as well. I've been woken up from BH contractions for the last few nights myself
Not fun.
I've read somewhere that the uterus is more responsive to oxytocin at night, and that's why more people go into labor at night. I'm not sure if that's true but it could explain why you have more BH at night.
I also seem to get more BH when I'm tired and not getting enough sleep.
