So, there was a new girl working
at the out patient center where I go for B/W every week. The first thing
she did when she walked into the room was look at my papers, then turn
to me with a big smile and said, "Looks like congratulations are in
order!"
*Ugh*
I shook my head and said, "Not any more". (Thanks
so much for reminding me I'm not PG.) She said she was sorry, and then...
asked me for a photo ID, "you know, to cut down on fraudulent people".
Yeah, because I totally would want to be stabbed in the arm once a week
for no reason! In the three months I've been going there, I have never been asked for an ID before. I don't know why she felt the need to see it. That was just weird! I mean, get
that she was just doing her job, and it wasn't that she had an attitude
or anything, but she just made me feel really crappy! I felt like she was saying
to me, "Just a reminder, you're not PG, and I don't believe you are who
you say you are." Ugh!
Thanks so much for reminding me, new girl!

Ugh I am sorry you had to go thru that
. But here's a "funny" story about all my pokes lately.... First, Left hand- the huge green egg and scab where the nurse blew out my vein for my D&C IV. Right hand- a green bruise and scab where she was successful. Left elbow crook (don't know what its called lol)- 3 distinct needle holes and bruises from blood draws (I have very annoying veins)- Anyway, I wore a short sleeve shirt to church on Sunday and this old lady kept staring at my arms and hands and then looking at me and looking away when I made eye contact throughout the whole service... I was like WTH? Finally it dawned on me that she prolly thinks I am a drug addict or something! Hopefully that made you chuckle some
