Online video storage? how do you save videos (camcorder)

I hope this isn't too dumb of a question, but how do you get the footage from your video camera off the camera?  I record everything to an SD card.  Is there a website like Shutterfly that allows you save your videos?  I guess I'd also like a hard copy of them - would that be a DVD?  My current SD card is about full and I need to figure something out soon!

    we bought an external hard drive. it's really easy to use and holds a ton of video/photos whatever. when it's full we're going to put it in our safety deposit box to keep it safe.

    I download mine onto the computer with the software that my camera came with, and then I usually download them on YouTube too. I really should back up the ones that are on my computer, b/c YouTube really screws up the quality, and I'd hate for that to be the only copy I have left if my computer crashes!
