Success after IF

I got to be awake for my polyp removal...

Silly me, I forgot I wasn't supposed to drink anything this morning, so the glass of water I drank absent-mindedly whenI woke up meant that I couldn't go under conscious sedation for my operative hysteroscopy today.  I was pretty freaked out when they told me that, but it wasn't THAT bad.    I got a combo of pain killers and relaxers, and was able to just zone out for however long the RE was digging around up there.   Uncomfortable and awkward, yes?   Painful, not really.

Turns out I had a couple of 5mm polyps, just at the opening of the uterus, so while they were a low risk of causing any complications with a pregnancey, the RE is glad they are gone.   and we're all set for cycling in April for #2.

Being back in the operating room where I had my ER a year and a half ago was eerie... brought back a lot of emotions.   I feel ready and kind of optimistic, but I also know the rollercoaster that is in front of us.   Either way, here we come!

Brought to you by IVF, ICSI, limited fert, and oocyte cryopreservation.
Because we're fancy like that.

  • Wow, that would have been strange to be awake for that. I'm sure you're glad it's done and that you are polpy free.  Good luck with your upcoming cycle.
