I caved in and asked for Zofran

My 16w appt. was today (well, closer to 15 but whatev)

The nausea's been starting to go away, but then it sneaks back. I haven't been barfng a lot, but I did last night, and with an appt today I figured it was time to quit assuming it'll go away on its own like I've been told for about a month now.

I saw the nurse practitioner, who said "Zofran is great; you'll be bad you didn't take it earlier". Also I have an upcoming girls' weekend trip to New Orleans in April and I do NOT want to sick for that.

    OP - I had all day nausea until week 18 or 19, but it's slowly coming back now.  My OB asked me if I still had some Zofran because it's awful when you're puking with a big ole belly.

    I gave in at week 6 (started at week 4 with nausea/vomiting) Good for you! I hope it helps if you need it on the girls weekend. Have Fun!

    I think you are very wise!!!!  I had to take zofran with OHSS and it helped so much!

    Ugh- feel better! I threw up every single day and night- at least three times a day from a few days after the positive beta until 16 weeks and 2 days. In the past two weeks, I have only thrown up twice. So maybe it will go away soon!! Good luck and feel better!?

    I hope it makes you feel lots better and hope you enjoy your girls trip.  If you can't drink...at least you shouldn't have to throw up :)

    I caved at 8 wks so don't feel bad. It makes you feel like you can function again. Just make sure you are getting lots of fiber. I think I took it for about 5 wks and now I dont need it anymore but it was SO nice to have when you do.
