We are considering a stay-cation there. Would it be worth taking a 2.5 year old to for a day? The website says you get to play the day you check in and the day you check out. Are there any time restrictions on that? Is it worth the $$$?
I went there a year or so ago just with a group of about 10 girlfriends and it was a blast! We had fun and spent some time at the bar etc.. I also know my BFF takes her 2.5 year old there somewhat regularly and they always have fun. They also do just the day passes to coco key sometimes since it's right by their house. So, I think you would have fun!
6/28/10: Lost our sweet baby Addyston at 18wk 1day to pPROM
7/24/11: Michael William born at 24wk 2d due to IC after an emergent cerclage at 18wks, 4wk home BR and 2 weeks hospital BR. Grow strong our little Miracle!
9/17/11: Michael joined his sister in heaven after 8 amazing weeks with us on earth. He fought a very hard fight but NEC was too much for him in the end.
We went about 3 weeks ago with our 2.5 yr old and she loved it. They have an area that you can wade into that was about knee height on us and shoulder height on her. There are three slides on the smaller side that she could do herself as long as one of us was at the bottom. They also have a wave pool that has a bunch of water spouts that shoot out of the floor and a raining mushroom. There are places where you can turn handles and flip buckets over and spray water. She also went in the lazy river with us.
We checked in on a Thrusday at 4pm and it was open until 10 that night (I think that's later than normal so you might want to check). You have to check out by 11 the next day but you can swim the whole day.
They have restaurants and a spa and an arcade but we didnt do any of that bc she wouldnt know the difference. We packed a cooler for dinner the first night so we didnt waste time and $ eating dinner. We went to the nearby Frisch's for the breakfast buffet before swimming on the second day.
As far as cost, the only reason we went is bc I know someone who works there and got us a cheaper room. It's pretty pricey. DD was pretty worn out after swimming all night and all morning the next day. I would recommend just staying one night to cut costs. Maybe if she were 7 or 8 it would be different but one night was plenty of fun for a 2.5 yr old.
