This is the kind of post that Warner could hate me for in years to come, but I have to ask because DH and I are baffled. Here's the story...
DH got up with Warner on Wednesday and said that the smell in his room from his poopy diaper almost brought tears to his eyes. He had to open the windows to air the place out. Warner didn't have a blow out, he just had some seriously toxic poop. I got up about 30 minutes later and could smell it still even though the diaper had been taken directly outside to the trash can.
And even though there was no poop anywhere on his pjs, they just wreaked, along with his crib sheet and sleep sack AND stuffed animals. Not that poopy diapers ever smell good, but this was just off the charts horrible and totally lingering on anything it was near! I put everything right in the wash and when I pulled them out the dryer it was evident that the poop smell at the epicenter (the pj pants) remained. I've washed and dried them again and they still just didn't smell quite right to me. The pants are now in the trash. (and seriously? this is what motherhood has reduced me to...)
So WTF was that??? He didn't eat anything unusual or new the day before, no medicines. Fortunately, everything has been back to normal since then, but is this something I should worry about?
Re: smelly kid, smelly kid...
Lol, DH and I sing this same song about DS sometimes....
We're just starting solids so they are getting pretty bad lately and one the other day was multi-colored. It was so odd. Half of it was green and the other half was orange.
I miss my sweet smelling BF poops.

You might want to ask the ped about that. I know really bad stinking poop in adults is sometimes a sign of a bacterial infection. If LO is not running a fever or seems to be feeling otherwise ok, it's probably nothing, but it's probably a good idea to keep an eye on it.
I have Crohn's disease myself so I'm basically a poop expert
