Renting our house

Hi all,

We found a great house that we are going to be putting an offer in on tomorrow (so excited and all fingers crossed), so in light of that we are getting ready to put our house up for rent so wanted to pass along the info in case you know anyone who is looking.

It is a 1920's bungalow in the Grant Park area. 2 bedrooms, 1 bath. The master has a huge walk-in closet with custom shelving plus an additional nice size closet for him . 2 car garage (really hard to find in this area), enormous party deck + flagstone patio, large fenced in back yard, nice front porch with a swing & skyline view, and even a white picket fence! Original heart-pine floors throughout, corian in the kitchen, totally renovated bath with jacuzzi tub, huge laundry room with additional storage, fireplace in the living room, tons of character throughout.

We are a 10 minute walk to Grant Park/the zoo and a less than 5 minute walk to Chosewood Park and the new Boulevard Crossing Beltline park.

This is a perfect house for a young couple, young professionals, or grad students...we have been here for 8 years and love it but have just outgrown it. Great highway access and a 5 minute drive to EAV, Glenwood Park, L5P, etc.

I'm going to let my brother know. The person that owns the house he is renting in in E. Atl just decided to sell so he's looking for somewhere to rent again. Not sure how soon he may need to move though. If he is interested or has any questions I'll PM you.

Awesome, thanks! We can be fairly flexible with a move-in date as we wouldn't be moving into the new house until probably the end of May or early June. We can live in my in-laws' basement if we need to between when we rent our place and move into the new place, although I personally would prefer not to.

I know he was hoping that the time it would take to sell this place would take him through the end of the year but now both of his roommates are moving out too so he may have to be out by June anyway. I just sent him an email and will make sure to follow up with him.

That is great - good luck with your offer! I hope you get a renter. We've had our house on the market in GP for 2 years now with not even 1 single offer. I'm hoping it turns around soon.

I talked to my brother last night and he said he isn't in a position to rent but he has some friends who are looking for a place in that area. If you all wanted to send me some info to pass along to him my email is techchic7 at gmail dot com. he was asking price and address information.

What house is it? I wonder if I have shown it at some point, that would be so funny. The market is tough right now if you aren't in a position to be aggressive with your pricing (and really, who is?) I work a TON in our area so it wouldn't surprise me one bit if I had been inside your house at some point, small world!
