IUI Costs?

Just had our first round  of IUI and got a BFN!  Totally crushed, but willing to try again until we got our bill in the mail today.  We have BCBS for insurance and I'm pretty sure they don't cover anything infertility related, but can find my info and can't find anything on the website.  Does anyone know for sure what (if anything) is covered?

TIA!

I used to work in insurance - normally an employer decides whether or not to include infertility within the BCBS insurance plan. An employer can opt to cover this by adding a rider to their plan. I would start by requested a summary plan description and ask the HR rep from the employer who offers the BCBS insurance. In my past experience only 20% of employers covered this.

    Hope that helps!

    And good luck!

My DH works for the state and has BCBS though them and it does not cover infertility related expenses.
