Breathable Bumpers?

Does anyone know a good website or store that has cute breathable bumpers? I'm having a hard time with purchasing a whole bedding set when I know I'll end up not using the bumpers.

What are you ladies doing?

Re: Breathable Bumpers?

  • We aren't going to purchase a full bedding set, either. We decided on doing some wall decals like a mural on the nursery walls, and thought a full-bedding set would be overkill, and we wouldn't use the bumpers or quilt. So we're going to find coordinating fabric to make a crib skirt and window treatment, and then buy sheets and a breathable bumper separately. I haven't really started looking at the bumpers yet but so far, the only ones I've seen are solid colors. I hope someone else has some suggestions on places to look, too!

  • I got some Carter's separates on Amazon, just sheets and a skirt. I paid like $37 for 3 sheets and a coordinating dust ruffle (with a $10 off coupon from a magazine).

  • Any particular reason you want breathable bumpers? I have a 1 year old and have never understood the need for them.

  • Health Canada wrote on their website that bumper pads can be used until your baby is sitting up/rolling unassisted which is generally 4-8 months, and thats when they should be removed so I'm going to use them until then.

You can get breathable bumper pads from BRU and Amazon, and they are a mesh and come in a few colors.

  • I found my sons Breathable Bumpers at Babies R Us. I used the thick bumpers when I set up his room, but he never slept in the crib, then I found these and  I Love them!!! They are so safe and I never had to worry plus there are so many colors!!! Hope this helps.
  • I've only ever seen the solid color ones.  We used the regular bumper with DD until she was about 4 months old and then switched to a breathable.  A lot of people don't use bumpers but DD was always getting her leg or arm stuck.  I plan to just use a breathable this time since we aren't getting a bedding set.

  • We aren't planning to get bumpers.  If it turns out that LOs need them, we'll pick them up at BRU or Amazon.

We aren't getting a bedding set, either.

  • We aren't doing a bedding set, either. I've noticed that Wal-Mart, Target, BRU and Amazon all have the breathable bumpers on their websites. Still not sure which store we'll go with!

  • I bought one off Pottery Barn Kids.

  • Have you checked out wonder bumpers? They are safe and can be purchased separately or as a full crib bedding set: https://www.gomamagodesigns.com/products/wonder-bumpers.html
