We went for our 3d/4d ultrasound yesterday. This LO was having none of it. She is in head down fetal position facing my spine with her arms crossed up over her face. We only got to see a partial profile and then she buried her face even deeper. She was moving the entire time (mostly elbowing/kicking) but would not turn so we could see her face. We tried everything (walking, drinking, rolling, peeing, etc.) to get her to turn, but she just wouldn't budge.
I am disappointed mostly because I wanted to see my LO's face, but also because we had family and friends there with us who were SO excited. My Mom and Grandma traveled 5 hours to be with us. We all knew there was a possibility it wouldn't work out, but I still cried like a baby.
We get to go back on Thursday night to try again. I hope she is more cooperative then.
Here are a couple pictures the technician managed to get yesterday:
Her chubby cheek, mouth, nose, and eye.

Her hand.

Re: 3d/4d ultrasound disappointment
We tried too and couldn't get any pictures. Babies are in the wrong positions and I have an anterior placenta on one of the babies.
I asked if I could come back and try again and they said they didn't think it was going to be possible to get any pixs. In fact, with twins, it was going to be harder to see the faces, the further I was along.
I was so disappointed too.
They were very kind and did not charge us anything for the session.
I had a big disappointment yesterday too. We could only see her spine and one leg, which both looked beautifully strong and healthy so I can't complain too much. I was hoping to see her face and a little activity though. DH and I both had a horrible week and I just kept telling myself that everything was okay because I got to see our baby on Saturday. I drank OJ and jumped up and down and tried everything to get her to move. But, with her position and my anterior placenta it was hopeless. We are going back on Saturday for a second try, but I still cried too. I hope you guys have better luck on Thursday!
While I'm sure it was disappointing, you should be happy she is in the perfect position for a vaginal birth! I know there is plenty of time for our little girl to rotate, but I wish I could say the same right now.
I was happy to find out what position she is in. I hope she stays that way too. It would just be a bonus if she let us get some pictures.
I had mine on friday. I was a little dissapointed considering my son was hiding half his face in the placenta and would just NOT move! luckily i didnt have to pay for it since it was a complimentary 4D from the hospital since I had my 20 week scan there. But it still would have been nice for him to co-operate a little more
I hope your baby does better next time!
