Bright Horizons at Skyline

Does anyone know anything about the Bright Horizons that is scheduled to open at Skyline in Falls Church?  Or about BH in general?

    I know they started taking applications at the beginning of February for the new location. My office has an arrangement with BH for back-up care and we have used their Arlington location on several occasions and have been happy with everything. The only downside I have heard is the waiting lists can be long.

    I went to an information session last month...and honestly, it should have been called a lack-of-information session.

    They couldn't tell us when exactly they would be opening, they just said it would be after April. And they couldn't tell us exactly what the tuition would be, but probably around $1800 a month (*GULP*). And they couldn't tell us exactly what the hours of the center would be. They had no idea how long the waiting list would be or when they would be able to tell us where we were on the waiting list.

    But they did treat us to a crappy powerpoint presentation with a bunch of generic information about the Bright Horizons' childcare philosophy, all of which you could easily find on their website. So in essence, the information night was close to a total waste of my time and that really made me not happy with them.

    The only reason I was happy that I went was because I met another mom there who recommended a few other Arlington daycare centers/preschools that I hadn't heard of yet.

    Sorry to be so negative about it, but it just really rubbed me the wrong way that they had parents take time out of their evening (that you could be spending with your kid!) to come to an information night and not actually have any concrete info.

    I work at skyline and we got an email the other day saying they would be opening in March. I think they started construction on it in January. I think the tuition should be posted this month as well. I know that I am on the waiting list but not sure how long it is, but I obviously have a ways to go.

    Ha ha. Well, they are having another "info" session this  month. I am not sure if they are ahead of schedule or something? Who knows, I am guessing it won't open till this summer (but that is because nothing every opens on time)

    I also would be surprised if it was 1800 given that the bright horizon center at Ballston is 1600 (and some change), but who knows.
