Newborn photography

Is anyone else hiring a photographer to come take pictures of LO during their first week?  I'm not usually the sort of person who goes for glamour shots and such, but I saw an ad for one that's very reasonably priced, and I figure we only get one change at this, right?  :)  I'd love to have a few of those super-adorable, well-lit shots of the baby snuggled up on a soft blanket.  :)

    Our hospital had professional photographers the first time, but they don't come to my current hospital.  Luckily there is a local photographer that is building her portfolio so we're getting a free photo shoot this time.  Then we are having a photographer come to our house as soon as possible to take family shots with the baby, DS, DH and I.

    Yes.  My best friend is a professional photographer, so she'll be doing it.  We'll probably wait till LO is around 3 weeks old, I've read that's a good time.

    We're having a professional photographer come at some point during the first 2 weeks after the baby is born. Professional photography is super expensive where I live, but we found someone who's really reasonable because she'll just starting out. She did our maternity photos and did a great job, so I'm sure the newborn pics will be great, too.

    I think it's so worth the money... our LOs won't stay that tiny for long, so I want to capture it!

    My friend is a professional photographer and she'll be taking our newborn pictures at our house. I typically don't like having my picture taken but I like the idea of someone I know doing it. I think having them taken at home will help to.

    I took my own because I am cheap but I think it's a really good idea to do it. I didn't with DS nor did I take my own and I regret it.

    We had ours done when Jackson was 15 days... went back and forth on the expense, but really glad we did it...

    We had ours done by someone just starting out... my dad has a friend who is a well known (locally) professional photographer, apparently offered to do pics for us... we will probably get that done when he is about 3 months...

    The photographer that did my mat pics is doing the newborn pics.  We will have them done at 2 weeks. I think if you can afford it, it's totally worth it.

    We had ours done yesterday. Our photographer recommended getting them done within the first 10 days because the babies are sleepy and easy to move around. I say definitely worth the money!

    my sister is a photographer so she will be taking pictures :) im very excited, shes awsomme!

    im just excited to see the pictures and put them up.

    Like PP the photographer I used for my maternity pics will do our newborn pics as part of the whole package.  They will be simple black and white.  You can check out his site to get ideas https://www.rudiwells.com
