Has anyone ever had any experiences with this area of Washington?
Dh and I are house hunting for somewhere to rent, and came across an amazing place that could fit in our budget. And has enough bedrooms to accomidate our growing family.
Good town/bad town?

Re: Covington, Wa?
This exactly. I think a big advantage of Covington is that there are some really nice neighborhoods with affordable housing. But stay away from Timberlane.

Thanks ladies!
I just really want to make sure we are in a safe neighbor hood, especially with the fact that we are fighting for custody of Emma. We really want to make sure its a good place to raise a newborn, and an almost four year old! (This house has a HUGE fenced back yard, and a really good sized fenced front yard.) I still need to check out of there are good schools in the area.
Once I get the address, I am waiting for them to return my call, I will def do a sex offender search as well! (We did not do this where we live now, and were SHOCKED how many popped up around this apartment.)
A fenced front yard is one of the strongest clues that this house is NOT in a good area. Unless its a cutsie picket fence, then I would say its probably not a good neighborhood.
I love in near covington as well, its really turning around and there are a lot of nice new neighborhoods coming in, but some of the older neighborhoods are not so good... I know you already have a few people offer this, but if you want to pm me the listing your looking at I can probably tell where it is and if its a good neighborhood.
I am assuming the fenced front yard is because the owner has a dog. (You can see in the pictures).

This is the link to the add, still waiting on the address.
Just spend about 2 minutes playing connect the dots.(street on Flicker pictures...look up the street...think I even may have found the house for sale.)
It is in the bad neighborhood someone just mentioned.
I totally didn't even see the address on the flicker site.
I google maped it, and we are skipping it. I am not sure from when the pics on flicker were taken in relation to google maps but I am totally against it now. Sucks! But oh well, the search continues!
I'd say that you could probably get a house in a better neighborhood in this area for that amount of rent. This house in Maple Valley looks way nicer.

We had to drive down to Bonney Lake to pick up some of DH's mail from his S-Dad, so we headed over and checked out those two properties. Just a drive by.
Although the first one would be nice, (as far as the inside) I was NOT interested onces we did the drive. 6-7 cars in each driveway, sketchy people, and off a busy residential street. It was kind of scary!
The second was nice, but kinda way far out there. DH wants to stay more in the North Seattle area. It was in a great neighborhood though, and would be charming!
So, the search continues. We may browse Lynwood a bit, and see what we can find.
