steroid shots

did anyone else have this when pregnant? my little guy started threatening to come at 34 weeks so they gave me this shot to help get his lungs developed in case he came early.  He then decided not to come until 39 weeks 2 days.  He was 9lbs 4oz 22 in at birth and is my first.  So I am wondering if the shot made him bigger than he would have been otherwise.   If you had this, how big was your LO at birth?

(I am just wondering since we are planning on having at least one more, and from what I have seen subsequent pregnancies usually result in bigger babies.  I really don?t think I can handle a 10 lbs baby!)

    I did, he was born 3 days after the shots. My son came at 36w3d, he.was 7lbs 6o. I heard that it causes then to gain fluid, he.did drop to 6lbs 5o within a couple of days after. Im not sure if that is.true or not though.
    DD(9)DD(5.5)DS(3)DS(born 2/1/11) July 2006, lost a baby at 8 weeks, natural miscarriage , May 2009 lost Zoe Eliana at 17 weeks no reason known, possible under developed organs. Lost two more babies in September 2009 at 7 wks 4 days. Had myomectomy surgery to remove a large fibroid in November 2009.

    I had the shot when I was 27 weeks and my girl had to be forced out with induction at 40 weeks. : ) She was just 6lbs11oz. I never heard that it would make them bigger. Hopefully your next ones stay well under 10!

    I had the shot around 30 weeks, didn't have DS until 38 weeks, and he was only 6lbs, 7oz. I dont think the shot affects their size, just development. I wasnt expecting a big baby since I was only 4lbs, 5oz and his dad was 7lbs 2oz.

    Thanks ladies for the info (even though it wasn?t exactly what I wanted to hear lol)!

    I wouldn?t mind another big baby, but I am terrified of having a C-section, and I think the Dr. would push for that if they knew the LO was going to be a big baby!
