First night away....

Tomorrow night will be my first night away from Finley. I am leaving tomorrow morning for my BFF's bachelorette party in Nashville. I am sure I will have an awesome time, and I will stay so busy that I am sure I will be fine... But I am SO nervous!

Fin will be with H - and I am sure things will be fine. But that doesn't stop this awful nervous feeling. Please tell me this is normal. I am SO excited to go, but at the same time, feeling like I should just skip it and stay home with my boys :(

    Go! Have fun! Your guys will do great. Being nervous is normal, but you will regret not going. We all need time to be just us, you know?

    The other weekend I randomly got in my car at 9:30 at night and went to the June 08 boards GTG in Indianapolis. I was only gone 9:30 Fri night to noon Saturday but it was worth it! It was nice to just be me for a few hours. You will have a blast and your boys will be fine.

    In fact, you'll probably come home to a messy house and the two of them having a good ole time together. Then Fin will get that happy "Mommy!" look on his face and all will be right in the world.

    Have a fabulous time.  I have never had a DH and mama night away from DD, but I have done girls night out where DH put DD to bed.  Going overnight is not that different being that your DH will get him to bed, and he is in capable hands.  It will be fine.  GO, have fun, and know that he will be just fine with his daddy.

    Thanks ladies! There is really no chance of me backing out anyways, since I am one of the two people driving, and the only one that has a minivan... Plus it's my BFF. So, I have to go... and I want to. But it's just that nervous feeling :) 

    Thanks for the reminders that things will be fine. Amanda - I think you're right on.

    And Becky, you're right - he's put him to bed plenty of times before, when I've been here and when I've been out at book club or whatever. So I guess it's really not that different when I look at it like that!

    I'm sure it'll be hard! But you'll have a great time, especially since you'll be rockin in minivan style Wink
