First of all to those I don't know, I'm Saucy. Hi! I was a regular over on TTGP for a while but have slowly been contemplating making the move over here. I guess today is as good a day as any!
Here's my story thus far:
TTC since 2/2010, about to start cycle 15. Started seeing an RE last month. HSG & PCT tests were both normal. H's SA results were normal.
Unfortunately, I'm already starting to really doubt my RE and lose faith. RE says he suspects I might have endometriosis but I'm really not sure what that is based on since I have no signs or symptoms. It seems this next cycle he wants to put me on Clomid and do IUI. I guess I'm unsure if that's the right path for me or not since we still don't know what is "wrong" with me, ya know? Also, they took my blood for a progesterone test on 4dpo....I don't know much but I always thought that Progesterone was supposed to be tested on 7dpo...? (FTR, they said my progesterone levels were "excellent")
Also, they never seem to know what is going on with me at any given time. Every time I have gone they have asked me something that could easily have been answered by looking at my chart and they seem to be asking the same things over and over. I have been asked at least 3 times if I did IUI this cycle....ummmm no! And isn't that something you all should know without me telling you?!
Anyway, my period is starting as we speak so they want me to come in on Monday for an ultrasound and to get my Clomid script. I guess we'll see what happens then and if I get more clear answers and direction. If anyone has any tips on things that I should ask (about a Clomid + IUI cycle or whatever) by all means throw 'em my way!
I'm looking forward to getting to know those of you who I don't know and if you got this far then THANK YOU for reading my ramblings. It's really hard to put all of this in a succinct post!

My IF blog
Cycle 11 - Clomid 100mg + Follistim + hCg trigger + IUI= BFP!
Beta/P4 #1(13dpo): 94.5/47, Beta/P4 #2 (17dpo): 625/19.5, Beta/P4 #3 (19dpo): 1285/18.2
BFP Chart
Clomid + IUI is a pretty common place to start if you are unexplained. I would be more concerned about your RE if they failed to monitor you in your clomid cycle. That being said, if you aren't 100% comfortable with your RE, you could always look for a new one.
How did your day 3 testing go?
Good luck!

Hi Sassyfrass!
I've missed your loveliness!
I hate that you have to be here, but I welcome you aboard. I hope you don't stay very long.
Getting a normal result for your PC and SA is good news! I am happy for you!
My best advice is to go with your gut instinct. If you are feeling that this RE is not the one for you then maybe you should start looking for another one. You can always give this RE a chance and go ahead with the first cycle. If you are still not convinced or comfortable with them, then you can move on. Don't settle for less than you expect from them. Also, you should ask about their success rates with IUI.
Sorry about AF, it never gets easier to see that bia.
XOXO
Saaauuuucy! I am glad to see you but sad to see you over here
Welcome to the board, the women on here are awesome. I have no advice for you in regards to the clomid + IUI but if you are having 2nd thoughts or questioning your RE, find another one if possible.
It's tough enough to go through this process but you need to feel comfortable and have confidence and trust in your RE through whatever treatment plan you go through. GL, hun!

Welcome. The ladies here are great.
Good Luck with whatever you choose to do regarding your RE. Hopefully your first Clomid / IUI cycle will result in your BFP so you won't have to even worry about it.
TTC since 2010
lots of IUIs and 1 IVF all BFNs
FET currently on hold
Hey Saucy, we didn't talk too much over on TTGP, but I remember seeing you post some right before I moved over here. I'm so sorry you have to be here, but you are in good company.
I hope your RE office gets its act together. That just isn't cool that they don't know what's going on with you. If you aren't comfortable, don't feel bad at all to go elsewhere (if that's an option).
Best of luck!

hey, girl! sorry you have to be here, but happy to have you.
Will your insurance refer you to another RE? If so, I would switch. We unfortunately can only see one MD in the whole state so we are stuck for now.
good luck!

Hey Magnolia!
About the CD3 testing - they haven't done that yet. Is it bloodwork or ultrasound? I'm going in tomorrow for an ultrasound prior to receiving the script for Clomid but I will actually be on CD2 (thought I would be on CD3 but AF was late). What are they testing for with CD3 testing?
Sorry for all the questions but these are things I need to be prepared to ask them about tomorrow and I appreciate yall bringing them to my attention.
As far as another RE, I did see that there is another one in the area but I'm not sure if my insurance would let me go there....I might look into it if I continue to feel uncomfortable with them.
Thanks so much for the response! I bow to your wisdom! ;-)

Welcome to the board! I would agree with OP, and encourage you to trust your instincts. I've had some lingering questions for my RE that my gut told me to ask months ago, and I never did because I didn't want to hold up the process and "waste" a cycle. Well, now I'm still not pg, and I wish I had asked the questions sooner.
Good luck in whatever you decide. I hope your stay here is short and sweet!
