February 2011 Moms

What are you wearing these days?

I am 4 weeks post partum. Though I can fit into my pre-preg pants, they do NOT look good. So I went looking for a good pair of jeans in a size up, not too pricey today... not good. I just don't feel great about how I look right now. But I am sick of wearing maternity pants, because they won't stay up.

Ugh. I was much more patient the first time around. This time? Not so much. Most of my shirts are either not flattering or too small right now too. ugh.

  • I feel the same way...I still am not able to wear my pre pregnancy pants...I'm thinking it will be a while before that. I'm still wearing maternity jeans...it stinks!

  • Honestly I'm wearing pants that were too small pre-pregnancy.  Having a baby was the best diet I ever went on. Between first trimester nausea and then being diagnosed with GD I really didn't gain much. Hoping i don't gain weight back now that I'm off the GD diet.

  • well pre pregnancy I was a size 0/2 and I gained 65 pounds...and at 4 weeks have lost about 23. I am no where close to wearing my old clothes. Since I am not going back to work Im wearing black sweatpants/yoga pants (I have about 5 pairs) nursing tanks and a hoodie. I wear something like this about every day.

I'm still in pajama pants and maternity jeans.  Haven't even tried pre-pg pants yet.

This!  Sweats, pjs and maternity clothes.  I prob won't even try on my pre pregnancy jeans until I can look at myself naked.

  • Yoga pants, nursing tanks, t-shirts, and pajamas. I haven't left the house yet except for going to her Pedi appt, so I haven't tried any of me pre-preg clothes yet.

  • Yoga pants, sweat pants, t shirts. Thank goodness I don't go anywhere... and if we do, I have to wear maternity. In a week or two I may go get a pair of jeans or something. I gained weight in my thighs and arse.... yay

  • HUGE problem for me. I still don't fit in my jeans :( But I refuse to buy a cheap pair of jeans for a short period of time. I thought abt Old Navy but I stopped myself. More of a ego blow going and trying on a bigger size and struggling with the fit than its worth. I gave myself a goal to be back in them by next weekend (6 weeks pp) but I don't think I'll make it. I gained all in my hips, ass and thighs. My tummy is already flat - but that doesn't help with jeans. I have ONE pair of jeans (with lots of stretch) and the rest of the time I'm in yoga pants. So frustrating.

I too was much more patient my first time around. I gained 50 with my first and only 35 with this one and I expected for it to fall off EBFing....yea...didn't happen. I still have abt 10 more to lose to pre preg. :(

  • considering i've left the house only twice in the past two weeks (just to go to pedi appointments), ive been wearing strictly lounge clothes.  scratch that, last week when the photographer came i got 'dressed up'- boots, wedding ring- the whole nine!

  • Maternity clothes, and I found a pair of clearance jeans at Target to wear until I can wear my PP clothes.  Totally depressing.

  • Well, at least we're not alone right? Sigh.

I feel much better knowing others are in same boat :) Can't say what I wanna say to the post abt PG being the best diet ever....I mean, good for her and all, but the envious spiteful biatch in me wants me to tell her to go fly a kite (except in a more crude way). Lol My best friend slid into her jeans in the hospital, I hate her too lol.

  • Since I'm on maternity leave I'm usually just in sweat pants.  I fit in my pre-preg jeans so I wear those when going out.

  • If im staying home that day usually yoga pants and a nursing tank and hoodie. If im going out, which I try to make myself do everyday so I don't go stir crazy then I wear jeans and a not-so-tight blouse/top or a tunic/dress & leggings. I can fit into most of my pre-preg clothes since I am past my pre-preg weight but not everything actually looks good/fits right because of my sweet c/s pooch belly right above my incision. I have gone shopping a lot for new clothes because I refuse to feel like crap or continue to wear boring maternity clothes any longer then necessary!

  • I wear yoga pants, nursing tops, and cardigans at home but I've been able to fit into my normal clothes since about 3 days postpartum, so I wear those when I go out. I will be buying some new tops when we go shopping tomorrow because of my ginormous boobs, I look like a whore in my normal tops.

  • I am nowhere near my prepregnancy pants, but I am starting to fit into some of my looser tops. I wore a pair of maternity jeans yesterday, but they kind of ate into my incision, so I won't be wearing those for a while. I go out all the time, but I still just wear sweats, and some sort of shirt.
  • I am wear pajamas and lounge clothes.  My PP clothes don't fit and my maternity clothes are way to big now.  I've lost all but 11 pounds that I gained during pregnancy, but even my fat jeans aren't close to zipping.

  • I wore a regular t-shirt into the hospital the day I delivered, so tops are not a problem even though I went up from a B to a D and am still up 20lbs.  I'm still wearing maternity or pj bottoms, although today I am wearing a maternity dress.  I tried a pair of pants a few weeks ago and they didn't work so I'm not going to try again for a while.

  • I'm wearing mostly yoga pants and pj's.  I did go out last weekend and buy 2 pairs of in between jeans because I feel like I've hit a plateau in losing weight plus I just can't bring myself to put on the maternity pants, I am done with them!

  • I am 16 days PP... If I am at home it's usually yoga pants/capri's and a nursing tank.  If I am going out I put on my most worn in/comfortable pre-preg jeans with a BeBand.

  • I see so many posts about everyone's weight loss, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one still sporting the maternity pants. I gained 55 pounds and lost about half. I think most of it is in my hipsand thighs. Lat week I tried on a fat pair of pre-p jeans and they were no where near fitting so I won't be trying that anytime soon. I spend my days in pj pants and sweatshirts.
