  • I didn't. I could never hold my PNVs down. I started taking gummy Flintstones. The doctor said they were better than nothing at all and they were much easier for my stomach to handle.

  • I don't have an answer to your question, but I suggest taking your vitamin before bed. That's when I take mine and I've never had an issue.

Unfortunately I work nights, so that is a bit tough for me :)

I ordered a different multivitamin - so hopefully that will help.

  • My OB told me not to. He also said if the PNV was making me sick, to skip it. It was more important that I didn't puke (but I was also on a shitton of FA, so it was less of an issue.)
  • I've unwillingly offered my PNV to the toilet a few times and I've never taken another one after. I always figured there was a chance I would lose that one too.

  • Is it the PNV that is making you sick? If so, try taking it with a meal. I couldn't take regular PNV for months. The only thing that stayed down was the kids' gummy vitamins.

I wouldn't try taking it again. If you try on an empty stomach it's only going to make you sick again. Skipping a vitamin occasionally isn't a big deal. Your baby will take whatever nutrients it needs from your body anyway.
