Hey ladies, TGIF!
So the last couple of nights J has cried when MH is feeding/putting him to bed. (FWIW we both do the bath time routine and I usually put J down to sleep but every couple nights we will switch off). Two nights ago hubby went out for a co-workers going away GTG and came home around 11 pm so he missed the bed time routine. Anyway, at about 11:30 J fussed a bit so MH went in and ended up picking him up because he started to cry. He hadn't seen him all day so he was happy to snuggle him... well J started to cry and cry and it just escalated and he wouldn't stop. It wasn't teething related and MH said maybe it was his smell... he was at a Japanese restaurant ;P I had to take over and calm J down. This is unusual for him because he is an extremely mellow baby! So last night MH is home and does the bath time routine on his own. He does the jammies, massage and then gave him a bottle and he was happy the entire time. He drank half the bottle before meltdown #2 occurred. I again had to take over and when I did J stopped crying and settled down and went to sleep. Hmmm? I have no clue what's up with this. MH has been very hands on from day one and volunteered to do the first bath and diaper change in the hospital. Oh and when MH came home from work last night J squealed super loud and kicked his legs when he saw MH... he normally does this but last night was the loudest squeal to date. Anyone experience this? MH is kinda sad... Sniff
Re: LO crying with DH :(
I'm not really sure...
But when Elyse had seperation anxiety, she only experienced it at night time. She would cry if anyone but me went in to pick her up. So when MH went in she would cry even harder.
For us it stopped after a few weeks.

Thanks T, I'm guessing it must be separation anxiety. Poor hubby, he didn't know what was up and tried to calm J down. Hopefully it will work itself out

That part is funny
However, I have no advice for you, but hope it goes away soon

Elyse has recently started being quite the daddy's girl! When Russ comes home from work she starts stomping her feet in excitement, then lays on the floor so she can look under the baby gate to see him coming up the stairs. It's so stinkin adorable!
So tell Ian it doesn't last forever

Same thing happened with Ryan except it was ME that Ryan didn't want! Landed me in a counsilrs chair for a few weeks because I was so devistated. Ryan got over it in a few weeks and my feelers heeled. We didn't really do anything to make it better, it just happened on its own
Maybe hold back on giving LO his favorite things and let dad do them... favorite food, bath time, favorite toy, or song?
Oh Julie, that must have been so hard
It's better now and I'm so glad
He wanted me and only me on Friday night but Saturday and Sunday he had no problems with DH.
