Picky stubborn eaters - way I can get Ridge to eat

I discovered a trick today.

Ridge is one of the pickiest eaters I know, followed by Colton. But today he would not eat his chicken. So I put on his favorite movie and wouldn't turn on the volume until he ate two pieces. Worked. Like. Magic.

Wanted to share in case you have the same daily battle we do.

Hmmm...interesting. Ethan is a terrible eater and I will pretty much do anything to get that child to try a bite of any vegetable. I'll have to give this a try.

Evie is hit or miss. Sometiems she eats everything and sometimes won't touch anything but a hot dog.

Lately, I;ve been letting her help in the kitchen with small tasks and she eats it all because "she made it".

My kids got excited over colorful utensils. I would by plastic forks in all colors from ikea. This thrilled them and they enjoyed eating with whatever color fork they picked out.

I might try this and bribe Derek with some tv to try to get him to eat. We have the ikea stuff but its novelty has worn off already.

I posted on FB too but the only way I can consistently get him to eat is to take him to Sweet Tomatoes. He will eat a whole plate full of veggies (mostly beets- little weirdo) and then he will also eat some mac n cheese, pizza bread, some fruit and of course ice cream. We eat here once a week just b/c its the only way I know he gets some veggies in and its also the only restaurant that I can count on him sitting still and eating instead of climbing the walls like a hyena.
