For those of you with teething babies...

What are you using to help them feel better? DS loves gnawing on anything, but he's not too good at holding things to his mouth for an extended period of time, so I have to sit there with him and Sophie and hold it while he goes to town. He does gum his fists a lot, though, so that helps. In the last week we've resorted to using Tylenol once or twice when he just seems SO uncomfortable. I can tell they'll be coming up soon--his lower gums are white and I can feel the jagged edges of the teeth when he's gumming my knuckle, but they haven't broken through yet.

  • sounds like you are doing everything you can. have you tried a frozen washcloth? Althea seems to be able to hold on to that a little better. I just wet a corner of a folded washcloth and pop it in the freezer. She seems to like it. And we give Tylenol when she seems really uncomfortable too. Not a whole lot you can do....lots of cuddles and kisses!!!

  • We're using tylenol and orajel. A friend recommended a product I haven't looked into yet. Humphrey's teething strips. You put it in the mouth and it's supposedly all natural.
