I hope the baby gets MH metabolism and athletic ability. I am thinner, but I have to work at it! DH is just naturally thin! He`s also more of an athlete than I will ever be.
I hope the baby doesn`t get my nose or DH nose. We both have pointy noses. LOL But I want it to get my teeth, DH has horrible teeth and has braces right now.
DH has a lot of good traits, he`s a fix-it kind of guy and just has the brain for that. I hope baby gets that too.
We`ll see!!

I hope she gets my husband's thoughtfulness, work ethic, and selflessness. I also hope she gets his athletic skills. I'm pretty athletic, but he is EXTREMELY athletic. Basically, I think my husband is the greatest and would love for her to get lots of his traits.
Secretly though, I think it would be really fun to have a girl who looks like me. Not to be conceited or sound like I think I'm overly-attractive...I just think it would be great to have a mini-me. So often, the daughter looks like the dad. I think it might bother me if she looks more like DH's family (my MIL and SIL) than she looks like me. There are parts of my personality I'd like her to have too...I have better social skills than DH and tend to be more detail-oriented and analytical.
Really, I just want her to be healthy, happy, and know she's loved.
Physical: With DS I really wanted him to have DH's hair [lovely thick dark hair], my color eyes [blue], my nose and my chin.
Instead he got my hair [blah and mousy], DH's eye color [hazel], my shaped eyes, my nose and DH's chin. And I think he's the cutest thing ever.
I would still hope for a LO who looked like what I hoped for DS, but then again, I really love siblings that look similar. I always loved that people recognized my brother and I as siblings, instead of someone saying oh wow, that LO really caught the rare family genetic trait of whatever lol.
Sensibilities: I hope that LO gets both his father and my sense of competition. DH's sense to always "measure twice and cut once." DH's unabashed way of loving, wholly. Both of our ability to converse. My love for reading and writing. And an innate sense of right and wrong.
I hope she gets my green eyes. MH whole family, my sister & Dad have blue and DD has very pretty blue, but both my grandmothers had grey/hazel and my Mom had warm brown. I know she can't genetically get my Moms eyes but would like her to get mine. I hope LO is a little more mellow than DD but still gets her happy zest for life and creativity. I hope she is happy. I can be a negative person and try hard to not have my DD emulate that. I hope she doesn't get my asthma/allergies. DD is showing signs she may have.
Physical: I hope LO is a good mix-up of the two of us. DH is dark hair, dark eyes, dark complexion. I'm fair and freckly with blue eyes. Excited to see how that will combine.
Qualities: I hope LO gets my sense of compassion and sensitivity and love for others and DH's goodnatured, light-hearted, easy-going love for life.
I really hope Baby Boy gets my DH's calm personality, ambition, eyes, eyesight, and height. I hope he gets from me- skin color/complexion, humor, hair and organizational skills. I hope he DOES NOT get my Italian temper. I'd like to not pass that on to the next generation. Or my IBS. Poor thing. My DH is such a wonderful person, I would be thrilled if Baby took after him.
I wish him to be a very polite and respectful boy/man. There are so many people out there lacking manners...I don't wish that on my son.
I hope DS stays calm like I do rather than freaking out, or exaggerating about circumstances like DH but I also hope that DS can think outside the box like DH. As for appearances, this poor kids is going to have thin hair, high forehead and legs like tree trunks b/c DH and I both have these issues haha!
Re: Non Clicky Poll: What things do you hope
My husbands athletic skills, i fell of a couch and broke my collarbone when i was a kid.
My artistic abilitys but i dont think that will happen as it skips a generation in my family.

I hope the babe inherits DH's sense of adventure. He's not afraid of anything. I also hope s/he has DH's kindness and work ethic.
I hope the babe inherits my independent nature, caring disposition, and my blue eyes.

DH - His passion for his work, his motivation, his sense of responsibility, his ability to tan
Me - My rational thought process, my compassion, my problem-solving/fix-it knack, my straight teeth
Both - Our artistic abilities, our silly sense of humor
I hope he gets my love of reading, my husbands thirst for knowledge and his beautiful green eyes, and my outgoing personality.
I hope he DOESN'T get my terrible eyesight, my husband's laziness, and my temper
