From scratch... which paddle/whisk/dough hook do I use??

  • i would use the paddle and just make sure you stop and scrape down the sides and make sure there isn't any flour stuck on the bottom.

     i use the paddle 99% of the time lol.

    I have one of these and it's all I use now!! Love it, no more stopping to scrape down the sides.

    So Ked, Does that take care of the bottom of the bowl too? That's usually where I have the biggest issues- seems like a lot of dry ingredients get stuck on the bottom of the bowl and i have to dig it up when I scrape.  That would be wonderful to have and I think is going on my Christmas list.  I have a long kitchenaid mixer accessory Christmas list this year!

    Yes!  Every once in a while I still get a small pocket of dry ingredients down on the bottom.  I usually stop towards the end of mixing and 'flip' the batter around in the bowl to make sure everything is mixed and most of the time it is totally mixed, nothing hiding in the bottom.
