Pregnant after 35

Great News Day!

I haven't posted in quite a while, but just wanted to share since I am having such a great news worthy day!

First, I had an appointment with Maternal Fetal Specialists for another follow up and anatomy/growth scan since a cystic hygroma was detected around 12 weeks.  Well, they are all very confident we are totally in the clear.  The cystic hygroma seemed to have resolved around 18 weeks and our CVS was normal, but after a few more checkups we have been cleared and done with MFS!

Second, I get to work and my manager asks to speak to me about the maternity leave plan I submitted.  I just started this job in Jan around 21/22 weeks and did not disclose my pregnancy until a couple of weeks after starting.  I am a consultant and not covered by FMLA so this was all a little stressful. But he was more supportive than his initial reaction and I think we will have a plan that will work best for all parties, and keep me employed- Yah!

Then, this afternoon we get an email at work saying that there will be some office moves.  I currently commute 35-40 minutes/35+ miles.  I am being moved downtown! I will now have the option to commute via transit in about 15 minutes from train station to train station.  And driving about 20 min/14 miles.  I am so grateful this will place me closer to home and LO!

Thanks for letting me AW!
