Success after IF

fodder for those who think EBF is gross

So tonight I was getting ready to nurse DS before bed as he was sitting on my lap, facing me.  I lifted up my shirt - he got the biggest grin on his face, said "come here, boobies!" and dove face first, arms spread into my chest.

It was totally hilarious and adorable if you're an EBFer.  And totally gross, perverted and scarring for life if you're anti-EBF.  Stick out tongue

You and me both!  I'm down to 3xs a day, but I feel like that's SO much more than other kids his age.  Keep hoping he's gonna self-wean, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

  • That is hysterical!  I picture Braley doing that, although I don't plan to nurse that long.  But man, that kid loves the boob!

  • Hahaha! Awesome!

I swear I think Viv was trying to say Boob! while pawing at my chest earlier today. And she has sooooo little interest in solids.

  • I LOVE this! So freaking cute!
  • I'm in the group that thinks this is adorable!  And hilarious.  I wonder what hysterical things Jude would be doing if we were still nursing.  He was calling the num-nums when we stopped around 13 months (still don't know where he got that, I've never called them that!)

  • That's hilarious! Sofia self-weaned at almost 17 months, and at that point she was calling them "boo-boos". I smiled every time she said it. I can't wait to have another baby. I'm in the camp that loved EBFing.

  • Well I don't breastfeed anymore (it's been about 2 months) and Penny always sticks her hands down my shirt whenever I am holding her.  Her comfort/soothing technique is to put her hand between my boobs, or to grope them inside my shirt.  I know it bothers some people when she does it, but I don't think she will do it forever:)

She also likes to pull my shirt up and hug my naked stomach if I am sitting down.  She loves her Momma:)

  • aww!  that is too funny!!  and adorable!!  sadly, DH is going to have some major issues with it if we get to that point.  :(
  • LOL!! I love it! You think he might be a boob man?!

same here and OMG this is soooooooo funny and cute!!

DD puts on the biggest smile on her face when I come home and we got to our nursing spot. Really, the happiness in her face just melts my heart!!! She will usually finish nursing on one side tells me "switch, other one" and as I lift her to switch her around, she has the most beautiful smile on her face..like she is so happy to be going on to the next one and I love it!!!

Out sessions do seem to be getting shorter and she asks for her baba after, so we may be heading down the weaning road but I still find it hard to believe we will ever get there.

  • this is great!!!  cal has never called my boobs anything.  just said, "nurse."
