Pumping question...

I'm going down to Nashville tomorrow morning for my BFF's bachelorette party. We will be coming back on Sunday, getting back probably around dinner time. I'll nurse before I leave probably once, and when I get back once. Typically, Fin nurses 4x per day. Even if I won't be saving the milk, do I need to pump while I am down there to keep my supply up, or will 2 days be okay?

Also, if I need to pump, think once each day while I am down there will be enough?

I would definitely pump while you're away, 2 days is enough to kill a supply. Do you have any idea how much he's actually drinking during those 4 nursing sessions? I would probably aim for at least twice a day, but if I was really concerned about keeping my supply I'd aim to pump to replace every nursing session.

Good point! I don't think he's really drinking much during the two during the day, and wouldn't be devastated if we dropped those two, but I'm not ready to give up the morning and night - so I guess I'll make sure that I at least cover those two.

I wasn't sure if two days would be enough to kill it or not! Thanks!
