Have you thought of any themes? LO#2 and DS will only be 17 mo apart so of course I'm not doing a shower but I don't want to miss out on celebrating this baby's entrance into the world! We are planning on doing a "meet the baby" party about a month after birth. That should be some time in July and we live on the beach, so I know there's plenty of options but there are a lot of creative ladies on the bump and I love to hear your ideas on fun themes/locations/activities, etc. TIA! p.s. LO#2 is another boy...
Re: If you're doing a "meet the baby" party instead of a shower...
when i was pregnant with dd, i told everyone that i was going to have a "meet the baby" party -- this was mostly because i didn't want a shower. however, once dd came into the world, i was way too exhausted to even think about planning a party, and it didn't happen. no regrets.
i do really like the idea of a meet the baby party! (as long as I don't have to plan and host it) however, i don't think that there needs to be a theme. the "theme" would be meeting the baby.
Mom to Madison- 5 and Lillian 2....and now surprise baby #3!
This all the way!
We are doing a sip and see in mid August per my doctor's request. Our doctor requested we wait till she is at least 2 months old to have her around crowds of people.
At this point our theme is Love Is In The Air. We love the idea of an open house instead of a shower. Plus I might get to have a adult beverage.
