So C is on her 3rd double ear infection (we've gone to the pedi on 12/21, 2/4, and yesterday for them). We talked to the pedi about tubes, since W (my 2 y.o.) had tubes at 11 months. We're hoping to get thru the end of April without another EI, and if so we should be in the clear, at least until the fall. I'll be honest, though, I'm not all that confident that will happen. I'm nervous, though, about her having tubes this early (she's 28w/6.5 months actual, 22w/5months adjusted), even though we went thru them with W and they were a god-send...and an easy procedure.
Thoughts??
Re: Has your preemie had ear infections/tubes??
Robbie had them put in last January, so he was a bit older (about 1.5).
I was really, really nervous about them because he has trouble with anesthesia (he has a hard time waking) but it turned out to be 100% fine and they were a huge Godsend.

Andrew was in lockdown the first year and never got sick or an infection - then bam. RSV season ended in April and we were just a mess of constant infections since. Finally in Dec (way overdue) he got ear tubes in and his adenoids removed. He is a completely different child. He hasn't been sick since he had surgery. He started OT and ST at the same time, and now he eats well (before it was a nightmare b/c he felt terrible) and is starting to talk.
