He's Here!

Some of you probably already saw this on FB but our son Asher has arrived (his middle name is my maiden name)

11:23 last night, March 1

9lbs 14oz

20.5" long

Full head of hair and unmedicated birth (not by choice). Ouch.

They started pitocin around 4:00 last night and I pushed for about 2 hrs. I progressed quickly and by the time I needed an epi, the anesthesiologist was in an emergency c-section so no drugs for me.

He is a giant kid - almost 2.5lbs heavier and 2" longer than his sister (who I had an epi for). He's doing well and we're incredibly blessed with our family!

Congrats!! He's the exact same weight as my DS was but an inch shorter! I had a half-medicated, vaginal, forceps birth with him so I know how much your delivery must have hurt! So huge kudos to you for pushing him out, I don't think I would have been able to make it if my birth had been unmedicated haha
