Courage doesn't always roar.
Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says I'll try again tomorrow. ~Mary Anne Radmacher (thank you beadinglady)

We also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And HOPE does not dissappoint.

I think one of the dakotas tried to make the distruction of embryos illegal...which would force clinics to close.
Seriously.
I did a lengthy blog post analyzing the actual language of the bill and the myriad ways it could be interpreted. It's frightening.
OH. MY. GOODNESS!!!! The very thought is devestating!!
My understanding is that Franklin has run unopposed for years and years. I'm hoping this latest atrocity will motivate someone to run against him in the next election.
It just adds insult to injury. FFS. When I had my D & C, they did it becasue they didn't want me to hemmorhage. There was no heartbeat...I made sure and I was still not miscarrying on my own. I guess if I was dead I would be saving the insurance co. $$$$$
It's like bad science fiction or something.
TTC since July 2008
IUI 1,2,3 BFN
IVF #1 C/P, FET 1,2,3 BFN
IVF#2 BFP
it's a girl!!
Someone linked to an article about this a couple of days ago. In that article, it also mentioned that he also tried to pass a law to redefine domestic abuse victims as "accusers".
Lovely.
I think koyn posted this the other day. I was so disgusted, I did some research and it appears to be targeting elective abortions since no one can overturn RvW, but regardless this guy is a tool...
All the bills trying to give embryos constitutional rights from conception are fun too. What are they going to start letting them vote now?

Thankful for every day
I just wrote this idiot an email - and this was the response I got:
Due to the unreliability of the General Assembly?s technical support team, it is unlikely that I will receive your email. Please call my office at 404-656-0152.
Really? I don't even know why I bothered. A$$
I can't even describe how angry this made me. All of these bills to punish women and control women's choices just make me irate. Having just had a D&E at 12.5 weeks with a pregnancy that was so, so unlikely to even happen and very much wanted ... I simply don't understand why anyone thinks that women just blithely terminate pregnancy after pregnancy because it's FUN. Miscarriage, termination, abortion... no one goes through any of these without an inordinate amount of heartache. People like Franklin can FRO.
