I got sick of having the bad taste in my mouth no matter!  Only time it would go away was while I was eating or sucking on candy. Even brushing my teeth didn't help, so I did some googleing and found a solution that seems to work. Try mixing a little bit of baking soda in some water and gargle it. It worked immediately for me. Not sure how long it will last but any relief is good news for me.

Re: Advice for those struggling with bad taste in your mouth
The taste has something to do with the hormones and the ph levels being off balance. They say to counterbalance it swish with baking soda like you said, salt water, drink lemonade or OJ, suck on sour candy, eat a pickle.... I had this a lot early on and now it seems to have gone away....
