So, what do you think of this bedding? Also, what color(s) would you make the walls? I need to repaint the whole room, so any color(s) combination would do. I was originaly going to make the walls a blue & brown, but with this bedding I'm not sure. The room is pretty big, but I don't want to darken it up too much. The room does have 2 windows though. TIA!

I have to agree with you about "theme" bedding. Have you found any cute boy bedding that's not themed? I found this one, but his current room already has walls this shade of green and I'm worried green is getting overused in my house

Also, I found a couple cute quilt sets, but they are over $100 just for the quilt since it's from Pottery Barn Kids or Land of Nod. I can't fathom spending that money for him at this age when he'll pee on it and throw up on it
ha, I hear you on the green. Everyroom in my house is blue! I didnt even plan it that way
I havent really looked for big boy bedding yet. But maybe try to search just for the color you want and not "big boy" because then youll run into themes.

those two I think are cute...but they are green
or this one I guess I am drawn to geometric, not sure if that is your style or not...

I don't think there's anything wrong with a theme for a 2-year olds room. The plain bedding seems more suited for an older child. That first link is really cute.
Another suggestion- if you really don't want a theme, I'd skip the comforter for now. Are you planning to get rails for the bed? We have hideaway rails on both sides of the bed so nothing can hang down the side of the bed. It's a pain to put down the rails, so we never do. You could hang the bedding over the rail, but since the rail sits higher than the bed, it just doesn't work. Plus I think Noah got so use to sleeping in the crib with minimal bedding that he doesn't like much on his bed. He likes a small blanket and that's it. The pillow and any other bedding generally ends up on the floor shortly after bedtime. So yeah, the big boy comforter went the way of the crib comforter- folded up in the closet
Like Shelia said, I would go with tan walls and figure out some great accent colors to keep it light.
I was just at the PB Outlet this past weekend and they have A LOT of kid/baby stuff there. I didn't look too much at the kid bedding, since I was focusing on the baby stuff, but it might be worth a drive out to see if you can find something there for less than online.
I love this bedding and I think it will really go with him. You could make it more appropriate for a two year old with different accessories- throw pillows, rugs, etc.
