Angel Kiss NOT fading?

Just wondering if anyone's LO still has a prominent Angel Kiss? I was told that it would be gone by 1, then by 18 months, now maybe 2... just wondering if anyone's LO still has theirs as well. It has faded a little, but it has also grown in proportion to her forehead.

Re: Angel Kiss NOT fading?

  • My sweet girl has one on her belly and it has gotten bigger with her.  Our pedi said it would be there forever and not to worry about it.

  • My son is a year old and he too still has his angel kiss. I heard that by one that they should have disappeared..still waiting..

DD has one at the base of her head/top of her neck. When she was born, the pedi said it would always be there but not to worry and her hair would cover it anyway. He's right - I can sort of still see it, but her hair covers it up, so I'm not sure if it's grown or shrunk in relation to her head.

DD has them on the back of her head and on her forehead- the one on the back of her head doesn't bother me because her hair will cover it but the one in between her eyes gets noticed (oooh, what happened?!?!?) and I was hoping it would be gone by now. :( Oh well, bangs for DD!

  • Georgia has a thin streak in the middle of her forehead.....it almost looks like a faint scar from having stitches LOL

Anyway, it had definitely faded since birth, but I can still see it....and it gets quite dark when she cries :-)

It is really quite faint, so I am not too worried.  She also has a few smaller spots on the back of her neck, they are much redder than the one on her forehead.  Thank goodness it isn't the other way 'round.

  • DD had one on her nose near her eye, we went to a specialist that used laser treatments to reduce it and after a few months it was completely gone. We were told that it can grow from up until 8 months old then it reduces in size 10% every year and it could take up to 9 years to go away.

  • My DD has one in the exact place my brother has one. He still has his at 32 and she still has hers at 1.

  • I thought I'd drop in to add my DD has one on her forehead and the base of her neck. It was much darker when she was born, she is now 7 and for most part, only shows up when she's hot or crying. On occasion someone will ask me if she hit her head but it's rare that people notice it.

  • DD has one that is at the base of her head where it meets her neck, and it hasn't faded at all. It's covered by her hair anyway.

My best friend's DD is 20 months and hers is right between her eyebrows. It hasn't gone away, yet, but it is a lighter pink now. When she was born it was really dark.
