1st u/s~thoughts and prayers please.

Hi ladies,

So, I had my first u/s today at 5 weeks 3 days and my RE saw a sac, a yolk sac, but no embryo.  He said the sac is measuring 4 weeks and 6 days so it's definitely small.  I'm so scared.  He wants me to go back next week for a follow up ultrasound so I could really use some thoughts and prayers.  :(

    I'm sorry you didn't have a better u/s.  Hoping you just have a late implanter there!  Will keep you in my T&Ps that your follow-up u/s goes much better next week.  *hugs*

    T&Ps headed your week. Hope the next u/s brings better news.
    TTC for 3 years. Finally successful after 5 IUIs and 2 cycles of IVF. Our amazing twins were born 5 weeks early on 8/16/11. Found out April 2012 that our di/di twins are ID.

    So you are measuring 4 days behind?  I didn't have an u/s in the 4th week but can they usually see an embryo in a 4w6d u/s?  If not then I would still think there is a good chance things are ok.  My RE said you can measure up to 6 days behind.  Unless I am missing something.  I really hope you get good news at your next u/s.

    Unexplained infertility. TTC 2 1/2 years. 2009: natural chemical pregnancy 2010: IUI x 3 = BFN. 3/2011: IVF #1 = BFP. Loss at 6 weeks. 7/2011: IVF #2 = BFP. Beta #1: 107 Beta #2: 371 7/26 ultrasound: saw heartbeat! Our beautiful baby boy born via surprise c-section 3.16.12!

    TTC in 2008. Stage II/III endo, Hashimotos hypothyroid, low morph (3%).
    2 cycles Clomid/Ovidrel/TI/Crinone=BFN.
    IUI #1 - 4 Follistim/Ovidrel/IUI/Crinone = BFN.
    IVF #1 - Antagonist w/ ICSI 4/10. 17 retrieved, 5DT of 2, BFN :(
    IVF #2 - Long Lupron w/ ICSI 6/10. 15 retrieved, 3DT of 2, BFFN!!
    Lap 7/21/10
    IVF #3 - Clomid/Antagonist w/ ICSI 10/10. 14 retreived, 3DT of 3, BFP 10/20 but m/c. No HB 11/15/10 - D&C 11/17/10.
    FET - 2 blasts, 1 survived the thaw. Transfer 2/19. Beta #1 3/1 375, Beta #2 3/3 885, Beta #3 3/8 4261, Beta #4 3/11 9005. U/S 3/8 1 sac 1 yolk, U/S 3/16 1 heartbeat 114bpm!

     

    James born Oct. 24th 2011 via c-section at 38 weeks!

    I understand your fear, but don't lose hope.  I pray next week comes with a HUGE blessing.  May your Dr. see so much more than he had anticipated.

    T&P, be assured sometimes it's too early to see more than the sac at this point. My RE doesn't schedule a 1st u/s til 7weeks just for that reason! GL to you at your next u/s!
