New here- LO here at almost 32 weeks

Hi Mommas! I am new here. Here's my story- I lost twins at 23 weeks in April 2010 due to incompetent cervix. With this pregnancy we kept a really close eye on my cervix, which was just fine. However, I suddenly went into labor at just shy of 32 weeks and my son was delivered by C-section on 2/24. Apparently I had an placental abruption which sent me into labor.

LO is doing very well so far. He was on CPAP for a few hours and is now off all oxygen. His first head U/S was normal. He is feeding like a champ and is at his goal of 35cc every 3 hours of breastmilk. I just hope for continued good news, but I know how much of a rollercoaster the NICU can be and I am holding my breath. I wish no one had to experience the NICU:(

  • Congratulations on the birth of your son. I had my DD at 33w and she spent 12 days in the NICU, learning how to maintain her temps, feed, and for her high bilirubin issues. Praying for a short and uneventful NICU stay. Please keep us posted.
