If you worked out during your pregnancy how much weight did you end up gaining and was it easy to lose after? How much exercise were you doing while pregnant?

I taught group fitness classes until about 22 weeks, and continued to workout until around 30-35 weeks. I gained a total of 37 lbs (much better than the 50 lbs I gained during my first pregnancy!) and still have 6-10 lbs (depending on the day) to lose to get back to my prepregnancy weight. Goal is to get to my pre-PRE-pregnancy weight, before my oldest!
I ran up until 24 weeks. Then I walked and biked until the night before I went into labor (39 weeks, 6 days). I gained 18 pounds and left the hospital 16 down. Keep in mind though, that everyone is different.
So far, I've gained about 15 lb. I doubt I'll hit my "target" 25 lb. I haven't worked out much - about 30 minutes, most days, lifting weights, swimming, yoga, or the elliptical.
I honestly think some of it is just hereditary / how your body works. There is some room to control it with diet (more than exercise), but it's also important to go with the flow and realize that what you put on, you can take off.
Exercise is important for my mental health, and I think it's kept me more comfortable than most longer into my pregnancy.
I gained 22 lbs in each of my first two pregnancies. I worked out 4-5 days a week for 45min-1 hour-elliptical mainly with some walking. I lost the weight very quickly (within weeks) afterwards.
In my 3rd pregnancy I gained significantly less-not exactly sure how much-but less than 15 lbs (I had pre eclampsia and was on bedrest so the pg wasn't typical). I was running up until I was put on bedrest at 34 weeks. Again, I lost the weight quickly. I felt great and was able to get back to working out at 2 weeks. This was fairly quick but he was my third and I knew what my body could handle.
With DD, I worked out pretty much daily (running, other cardio, weights, hiking, etc.) until the day before I delieverd. I had a scheduled c-section at 38.5 weeks and delivered an 8 lb. 15 oz. baby. I gained 28 lbs.
With DS, I taught group fitness classes (4-6 per week) and did other exercise in the "off time" until I was 41 weeks. I delivered a 9 lb. 12 oz. baby at 41.5 weeks. I gained 32 lbs.
I had lost all the weight by my 6 week appointments and never wore maternity clothes again after leaving the hospital.
I continued to exercise 5-6 days/wk until the beginning of my 9th month (minus a few weeks of utter exhaustion between wks 9 & 13). I still gained almost 40 pounds and no, it's not easy do lose. I'm 10wks pp and have 14lbs left to go. It's also really hard to find time to exercise with a newborn so I'm barely finding any time to exercise now. I wasn't cleared until wk7 and now I'm only getting to exercise 1-2x/wk.
I worked out daily with DD, running about 40 miles per week, abs and weights several times a week. I ran 6 miles the evening before I went into labor at exactly 40 weeks. I gained 12 pounds and lost it all when I was back from the hospital the day after I gave birth. I continued losing and was soon 18 pounds under my prepregancy weight.
With this baby, I have lost about 5 pounds so far. Not sure why, other than not having a lot of appetite. I continue my usual routine of daily running, abs and weights a few times a week.

I am still jogging, walking and using my stepper daily.... plus some free weights...I try to get in an hour of exercise just about everyday of the week. I have also kept a food journal my entire pregnancy, but I still have gained 35 pounds... we will see how long it takes to come off!
For me, it didn't matter. With my first, I continued my same old work outs (@ 4-5 times a week) until about 2 weeks before the birth. I gained 25 lbs (I'm also short and petite). I lost all but 10 pounds by 9 months pp doing nothing (not watching what a ate or exercising- just breastfeeding). My first started to wean when I got pregnant (he was 8 months old) and as soon as he weaned (10 months old), I lost the 10 lbs in like a week (which was YIKES because I was pregnant- I never had morning sickness). For my second pregnancy I was WAY TOO tired to work out again and didn't the entire pregnancy (besides chasing after a baby) and I again gained only 25 lbs. In 2 wks my DD will be 1 years old and I'm still breastfeeding and without watching what a eat and I just started (2 weeks ago) the 30 day shred- I have 5 lbs left to loose. I'm a creature of habit so I eat the same things all the time. So for me, I think gaining a healthy amount of weight was due to food choices.
This doesn't exactly answer your question, but I have been working out throughout my pregnancy at pre-pregnancy pace (I think that this is an important distinction because an hour of spin class is a whole lot different than 20 minutes walking on the treadmill). I have gained 13 pounds at 23 weeks, which is not insignificant, but when I see other people at 5-6 months, they look "mushier" than I do, even if they gained less weight. Working out keeps you all baby and not a lot of extra fat.
I gained 32 pounds total (weighed myself the morning of my induction). I worked out at the gym 4-5 days a week and walked most days for 30 minutes up until 36 weeks when I just walked, because the gym became too awkward. Within 2 weeks of giving birth, I lost 23 pounds and no matter what I've done for the last 5 weeks, the last 9 pounds won't budge! I am not breastfeeding and as soon as the doctor cleared me, I started running again, but my body is just very different than it was before. Hopefully with some time and hard work, everything will go back to normal.
dont stress about how much you are gaining. I did and everyone is different. I didnt workout in first trimester. I was high risk. I am a group fitness instructor I had to stop teaching. but once my second trimester hit I went back to working out and teaching. I walked, lifted weights, did prenatal dvd's and prenatal yoga. I worked out 5-6 days a week. I worked out the day before I delivered. I ate very healthy and still gained 40 lbs.
so try not to worry about the number.
I am down to pre pregnancy weight. 5 away from wedding weight.
good luck and just be healthy.

I gained almost 50 lbs, it wasn"t has hard to get off as I thought it would be, but I work out 5 - 6 days a week. It took about 6 months. I did yoga or the elliptical 5 days a week while pregnant, but I ate horribly!
