Would you let your 12 y/o go paintballing? Do you think 12 is too young?
When I think of paintballing I think of bruises and welts. I know I don't know too much about it, but I have seen some of my friends after a paintballing session. My mom is hesitant, but my dad and brothers are pushing it.

I went before- no biggie. you wear protective gear. it didn't hurt. was a lot of fun.
I *think* this is the age that is typical for paint balling. If not 13 for sure is. As long as he puts on the protective gear I *think* he'll be fine.
According to answers.com 10 is the legal age. LOL that I can find this answer online. You gotta love the interwebs!!
It said 12-13 is the average age though. Under 18 will still need parental consent if going to one of those paint ball facilities.
Then I must be a horrible parent for letting my SS (along with every one of the neighborhood kid - both boys and girls) use an Air Soft Gun at 13. Yes, they all wore protective gear (and the rule was if one kid was caught without gear, everyone would have to come in for the day).
It is an ACTIVE activity. It uses the brain to create strategy. It creates self control when tehy are trying very hard to patiently wait in an ambush. It creates team work. And it creates opportunities to learn how to work out differences. Oh and for my SS, he had to EARN his gear and time....so it was a true incentive.
I MISS MISS MISS this game, being here in Germany. Here the kids all sit upstairs in their rooms playing Nazi Zombies with their Xbox...with each other in dark rooms. But he and his friends ahve ALL mentioned numerous time, hwo they would love to be able to have their guns.

Totally would let him do it. I think my son started going paintballing with friends around 10?

I think I would tell my daughter that it hurts and she has to be careful and if she still wanted to go I would probably pinch her on the arm and let her know she was in for a whole afternoon of being pinched - if she still wanted to go, I would let her. Paintball is fun and I haven't grown much since I was 12 lol.
