Not sure if our favorite names work - advice?
Hi all! I've been lurking for a few days, but this is my first post on The Bump. We're not telling friends and family our thoughts on names yet but I'd like some feedback on our picks-- it seems as though you ladies will give it to me straight and I love that!
What do you think of Cameron Joseph for a boy? H loves the name Cameron, and Joseph is a family name. Our last name is Kirch___ (followed by a couple more syllables; and that 'c' sounds like it should be an 's'). Is the hard 'C' with the 'K' too rhyme-y? I also like Brandon, but H isn't sold on it.
Finding a girl's name is harder. I love, love, love Emily. However, it's important to us that her middle name be either Rose or Elizabeth, whichever sounds best with the first name we choose, for family reasons. Emily Elizabeth sounds like we'll name her after the character from Clifford, no? Emily Rose will make people think the Exorcism of, right? We also love Madeleine (or another spelling variation), but there's already a Madison in the family, nicknamed Maddie. Too similar aren't they? Any other suggestions based on the style of name we tend to like?
I know that was a bit long, I'm sorry. Any and all thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, ladies!

I think Cameron Joseph is a great name! No, the hard C followed by the K doesn't bother me at all.
I think Emily Rose is fine. You will hardly ever call her by her first and middle names together, anyway. She will be known to 99% of the the world as Emily Kirch__. If you really love it, go for it!
I think Cameron Joseph is nice. Hard to say with our last name...but I think it would be fine.
I LOVE Emily Rose...no idea why the Exorcist would be thought of. Was that her name?
Not a fan of Emily Elizabeth...too many EEs for me. And I don't understand the Clifford reference either.
Madeline is lovely...but is pretty close to Madison. Especially if both are called Maddie...which they probably would.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone. I guess the Emily associations aren't as mainstream as I thought. Good news for me! (FYI, for anyone who doesn't know: Emily Elizabeth is the girl who owned Clifford the Big Red Dog
) As much as it pains me, I think Madeleine is officially off the table.
Well I'm partial to Brandon (that's my son's name) but I like Cameron as well. They both sound good with Joseph.
I like Emily Rose the best, and honestly I didn't even think of the Exorcism of, until you mentioned it.

I kind of like the sound of Rosa Emily, too, but that could just be me...
And, her initials would say EEK!
