Brown Bear Educare?

Has anyone heard anything about or known anyone who has taken their LO to Brown Bear Educare in Bellevue? We haven't yet toured the facility but the pricing is far more reasonable than KinderCare or Bright Horizons so we're considering it but I haven't been able to locate any details on how they are. Also, if anyone has any recommendations in either the Bellevue or Issaquah area for daycare, please feel free to share! TIA Smile

    Yay, you came over! Lynchie plucked me from the Nat'l boards years ago. I still lurk, but this is my home!!

    So, I only recommend these places because I worked there, not because LO is in them. With any luck, I will get to remain a WAH mom and won't need to start the search myself, but I am prepared to start doing this as well.

    In Bellevue, I would recommend Early Bird Children's Center (BelRed Road) and Newport Children's School (Newport Way, near Factoria Mall). They are both owned by the same family. The schools are great, Nationally Accredited, small class sizes, well-educated staff who have been there for years and years, great directors, etc. They are around the same price range as Bright Horizons though. I loved working at both, but I love Newport Children's School more. I worked there for two years, before getting my Master's in Teaching.

    I ended up not touring Brown Bear after I drove by it.  It looked really run down and yucky.  That was a couple years ago, so maybe things have changed.  We ended up with Bright Horizons and love it.  It is $$, but we decided it was worth it.  It really is that much different, at least to us.  Good luck with your search!
