Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Is there anything your LO eats every day?

Allie eats a banana every day.  I used to make her breakfast...pancakes, blueberry waffles, give her oranges....but now she just wants a banana.  She'll eat other things too, like this morning she had a banana and peaches, but the banana is without fail.

Anyone else have something that their LO eats every day?

  • Fruit! My son is a picky eater and fruit is the only thing I can really count on him eating without fail. It's usually a banana in the mornings and slicked apples at lunch, along with other things that sometimes get eaten.
  • banana and cherrios..If he is cranky a frozen waffle fixes that. lol

  • A banana is pretty standard for DS too.

  • Chocolate - oh, wait, I'm probably not supposed to give her that every day am I?  Jelly bean would be next on the list.  What, not that either.

She'll always eat fruit.  Her new-ish loves are shrimp and mushrooms.  Oh, and she'll always eat sour cream and ketchup.

  • Some form of Cheerio. She is obsessed with them.  She will only eat a particular flavour for about a month and then switch.  Currently it's Banana Nut (awesome because I love them too)  Last month it was Multigrain.

  • DS also eats a banana every day. DH eats one most days too so I feel like we are constantly buying bananas. I realized we were out last night at ran out at 9pm to get some. He also eats a yobaby yogurt and cheerios at some point most days.

  • Yogurt.  She would eat pb&j every day for lunch if I let her too.  Her newest obsession is oatmeal which shocked me because she doesn't like things that are mushy with texture but lately she only wants oatmeal in the morning and won't even eat her fruit.

  • does ketchup count??? LOL J has lots of food allergies so our menu is pretty standard and boring. I alternate blueberry pancakes, biscuits, and waffles for breakfast every three days. Lunch and dinner can consist of hotdogs, fries, chicken, steak, ham and "cheese (vegan)" sandwich, chocolate "peanut butter (soy nut butter)" sandwich, green beans, corn, garlic bread, "pizza"...and then repeat. Dairy, egg, nut and seed allergy + mastocytosis. Poor little guy.

  • Bananas and yogurt.

I swear, my kid would live on bananas alone if I let him. He signs "eat banana" all.day.long. Most days he eats at least a whole banana, if not two.

He also eats yogurt daily because he's not a big milk drinker. Fortunately, he loves it!

  • my two about their banana's too.  That's the first thing they ask for, so they usually munch on that until the rest of breakfast is ready
  • Ditto the bananas, (when my DH doesn't eat them and leave us with none, that is.)  He also has Goldfish crackers most days as a snack.  Otherwise I try to vary the fruit.  He likes blueberries a lot, and he had some diced apple yesterday that he thought was pretty fantastic.
  • lots of stuff!  banana, cheerios, sunflower seed butter, steamed carrots, spinach mixed with apple sauce and seasonal fruit (right now apples and grapes).

i offer these every day because they enjoy them.  of course i offer other foods as well but i know they like these things and they are healthy. so why not eat them every day?
