XP from AP: Am I wearing him correctly? pip

Good morning everyone! Last night I made myself a baby sling to wear with LO. We usually use the Moby but this seemed so much more convenient when there's just not time to stop and wrap it up. I just want to make sure that I'm wearing him correctly. Even though I used my hip-to-shoulder measurement that the pattern called for I feel like he might be sitting way too low. Does this look okay to you sling-wearers?

My belly button is a little below his shoulders. It looks like he's being decapitated here, but he's not, I promise:

  • He looks way way too low, anytime you are baby wearing like this you want to be able to kiss the top of their head.

  • I would agree...he looks too low...you usually want their ears at nipple level...if that helps at all = )

  • I'm glad I asked :] . Thank you for the pic and advice! It looks like I'm off to shorten it up.. ans find less stretchy material.

  • I think almost all sling/wrap instructions say baby shouldn't be lower than you hip bone... Which makes sense bc you carry a baby on your hip if they aren't in a sling/wrap... Hth!
