I really really don't like that woman screaming a lot. Ugh. It scared me a wee bit.
All the screaming scares me! I keep trying to tell myself they only show the most dramatic parts of labor.
Every L&D story is different but that lady was overly dramatic! She even mentioned that she's never had menstrual cramps so she didn't expect that level of pain... I felt sorry for her poor DH {and remember when she was coaxing him into a push present saying she'd been "nice and polite"}!
The surrogacy story really touched me too-I truly admire the birthmother's selflessness!

I felt sorry for her DH, too! I couldn't believe she was pressuring him to buy her a push present while in labor.
The surrogacy story was very touching. I can't imagine being a surrogate not only once but twice. And to twins!

I watched it last night. I thought the surrogate was awesome. I've always said if I knew someone who needed a surrogate I would do it.
The screaming lady was obnoxious IMO. As a FTM, I have no idea what I'll be like, but I told DH if I started acting like that he is to tell me I'm being silly and that I need to get an epi so I can act human again. But that's just for me.
Oh, and every time I see her with a patient, I think that nurse (Amanda?) is amazing. She just seems to know what to do and say to make things happen.

Is she the one who said to the mom who ended up with the epidural "Would you have a tooth pulled without novocaine?!" I hate that argument. My baby =/= a rotted tooth.
Re: Last Night's 'One Born Every Minute'
I just finished watching it online. I cried when the surrogate mom delivered the baby. What a selfless and amazing thing to do for that couple!

I still have to watch it...... but I've been getting a tad freaked lately too. Whenever someone looks like they are in extreme pain I cringe.
ON the plus side, I think i hold a tight kegal most of the show. While they are pushing .

Watched it last night... that lady had me laughing the entire time! I told DH if I was anything like that he had permission to laugh at me!
The surrogacy story was amazing. That is such a beautiful gift to give someone!
