1hr Diabetes test at 30 weeks?

I go tomorrow for a docs apt...I'll be 25 weeks, I called yesterday to see if I can pick up the drink ahead of time so I don't have to sit in the office for an hour for them to check my blood. They checked with the nurse and said I'll be too early and they will do it at the next apt...which is scheduled at 30 weeks. I'm not too concerned, but it seems late to me.

My DH said I could go into diabetic coma by then

Anyone else getting it around 30 wks?

My doctor gave me a lab slip to go in for mine after 3/8, which will be week 26 for me.

My next appt is on Monday and my OB hasn't scheduled my GTT yet so mine could be anywhere from 27-30 weeks too.

I will be 29w2d, but my place wont let me pick up the drink ahead of time-i will have to stay there the whole time and I would have Jacob with me which would be a huge disaster, so I had to pick a day when DH was off work.
